Preparing for Your First Injectable

Walking into your first injectable appointment can feel like stepping into unfamiliar territory. The best providers spend more time listening than injecting — the consultation is where great outcomes begin.

In the days leading up to your visit, we recommend avoiding blood-thinning supplements such as fish oil, high-dose vitamin E, and NSAIDs when medically appropriate. Alcohol the night before can also increase the likelihood of small bruises.

During the appointment, expect a thorough facial assessment. We map muscle movement, discuss your goals, and agree on a conservative starting dose. Our philosophy is simple: it is far easier to add than to reverse.

Afterward, avoid heavy exercise for 24 hours and skip facials or lasers for two weeks. Neurotoxin results settle over 10–14 days; filler results are more immediate but continue to integrate over several weeks.

If anything feels off, call us. A good practice is available long after you leave the chair.
